India went down to third seeds England [Images] in the quarter-finals of the 14th World Junior men's Squash Championships in New Zealand [Images].

Harinderpal Singh once again came up with a gutsy performance after losing the first game against Joe Lee, but ultimately lost 2-9, 2-9, 10-8, 5-9 in 71 minutes.

Singh was 8-2 match ball down in the third before he made a remarkable comeback to win the third game. Both players, especially Joe, with his huge reach, picked up all that was thrown at them. Joe prevailed in the fourth with some excellent length winners.

Sandeep Jangra then lost to Tom Pashley 8-10, 2-9, 6-9 in 33 minutes. Sandeep played some brilliant winners in the first game but was unable to capitalise and keep his momentum and lost in straight games.

Naresh Kumar went down without much fuss to James Snell 3-9, 2-9 in the dead rubber.
