Bridgestone have been selected as Formula One's sole tyre supplier until the end of 2010, the governing FIA said on Wednesday.

The Japanese company had been expected to win a tender after rivals Michelin announced they were pulling out at the end of this season.

The International Automobile Federation (FIA) also announced in a statement after a world motor sport council meeting in Paris that Microsoft had been chosen as Formula One's official ECU (electronic control unit) supplier for the same three seasons.
