Hurriyat to meet Musharraf in New Delhi

The All-Parties Hurriyat Conference on Monday said it will meet Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf [Images] during his visit to the country on April 16.

"We will be meeting Musharraf on April 16. This has been verbally communicated to us," the amalgam's founder-chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq told PTI.

Musharraf will arrive in New Delhi on April 16 to watch the final one-day cricket match of the ongoing series between India and Pakistan the next day.

The conglomerate will hold crucial executive and general council meetings on Tuesday in Srinagar [Images] to finalise the strategy vis-�-vis talks on Kashmir, he said.

The Mirwaiz said the Hurriyat is open to talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images] on the Kashmir issue.
